Denali Coltrane has been supervising construction of the new subterranean micro-habitat research facility for Solutrean Enterprises with resident archaeologist Kyle Ripley. When her crew discovers anomalies in underground scans the entire operation quickly becomes jeopardized. Denali decides to proceed with her usual focused and determined leadership, taking this hurdle in stride.
Finding a network of tunnels with mysterious chamber, Kyle, also a rash thrill seeker and spelunker, defies orders to hold off on any exploration, dragging Denali along with him. Underground, they stumble upon an ancient time capsule hinting at preparations for an impending apocalypse during a long forgotten arc of humanity’s history.
Denali and Kyle enlist the help of an eccentric historian along with a cryptologist turned con artist, and the team embarks on a baffling quest taking them from underground caverns to an orbiting space station. A shroud of intrigue and secrecy unravels to reveal unfathomable mysteries forgotten to the depths of time and a discovery that could rewrite human history. When a threat emerges, willing to do anything to keep their findings a secret, Denali and her team find themselves on the edge of outer space, fighting for survival.
